Please join us in congratulating Christopher
S. Collins, SJ (left) and Daniel S. Hendrickson,
SJ who have been approved for ordination to the priesthood
and will be ordained June 9, 2006 at the conclusion of the
Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus annual Province
Days celebration, which will be held next year in Omaha.
Until then, both men will be completing
their theological studies – Collins at the Weston Jesuit School
of Theology in Cambridge, Mass. and Hendrickson in California
at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:
Fr. General Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, SJ has approved
several recent appointments by Fr. Provincial G. Thomas
Krettek, SJ. They include:
Fr. Gregory N. P. Konz, SJ as superior for the Arrupe
House Jesuit Community in Milwaukee. Fr. Konz, assistant
dean of the College of Business at Marquette University for
the past two years, is presently in the Wisconsin Province
Tertianship Program.
Fr. Edward G. Witt, SJ as new province consultor,
replacing Fr. Chris Manahan, SJ who is doing his
Tertianship in the Philippines. Fr. Gene Donahue, SJ will
assume pastoral responsibilities on the Rosebud Reservation
in South Dakota in White River and Mission. Fr. Rob Kroll,
SJ, having recently completed his Tertianship in Australia,
will join the pastoral staff on the Pine Ridge Reservation,
working in the Kyle-Wanblee area.
In other activity, Fr. Tom Manahan, SJ has taken a
position to do pastoral outreach to staff, students, parents,
alumni, and friends of Marquette University High School.
Fr. D. Edward Mathie, SJ assumed Fr. Manahan’s previous
responsibilities at Marquette and is serving as interim
president for the 2005-06 academic year while the high
school conducts a search for a permanent president.
Fr. James P. Flaherty, SJ is the new rector of Marquette
University Jesuit Community, and Fr. James J. Gladstone, SJ is the new superior of St. Camillus Jesuit Community.
Br. Jim Holub, SJ will be working with Fr. David
Haschka, SJ in ongoing efforts to organize and open a
Cristo Rey high school in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Andrew M. Jaspers, SJ has begun his first year of Regency
this academic year at Creighton University where he is
teaching philosophy and working in campus ministry. Fr.
Stephen F. Mitten, SJ will also teach this year in Belize
where he accepted an international assignment at St. John’s
College in Belize City, Belize.
Fr. T. Michael McNulty, SJ is now associate director for peace
and justice at the Conference of Major Superiors of Men.
Fr. John M. Ginsterblum, SJ and Fr. Charles C. Murphy,
SJ have been assigned to the St. Camillus Jesuit Community
in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where they are missioned to pray
for the Church and the Society.
