Jesuit Journeys
Spring/Summer 2005
Memorable Jesuits of the past
Last year, Members of the Wisconsin
Province of the Society of Jesus were
asked to name a colleague from the
past who had been important to the
growth and development of the province
and its ministries. More than 20 people were
cited by members of the province. The person
mentioned most was Fr. Joseph Sheehan, SJ,
the subject of this edition’s Ignatian Spirituality
feature on page 46. The recollections that follow
here comprise a partial list drawn from written
comments about other men, some of whom
were recalled in great detail.
