STUDENTS HONOR BR. PELTZ
WASHINGTON, DC – Br. Jerry Peltz, SJ was honored at Gonzaga College High School’s graduation this year with the Outstanding Faculty Award.
The senior class each year votes on which faculty member they feel most influenced their final year at the prep school. Since 2002, Br. Peltz has worked there in campus ministry and as the coordinator of the Kairos Retreat Program. He also coached the cross country team.
“Jerry has taken a good retreat program and made it even better. This award from our students attests to the time and care he has put into its growth,” says Fr. Allen Novotny, SJ, Gonzaga president.
Adds Headmaster Michael J. Pakenham, “Br. Jerry has had a profound effect on the students not only through his involvement with the retreat program, which he directs, but also as a coach of both track and cross country. He really lives the Ignatian ideal of cura personalis in his ministry, and he has a profound, positive effect on our students.”
